June Meeting: Next month's guild meeting is June 17 (3rd Tuesday
instead of 4th) at the School for the Blind. There will be no June Board
Meeting.
July Meeting: July is the picnic. Since we have some money to
spend, we will look into having it catered. Or partially catered. Jenny will
check with Jeffrey Mansion to see what it would cost to have the picnic there
rather than the church.
2009 Schedule: Vicky and Marsha are working on it, following up on
Marty’s leads. Leigh McDonald – author & quilt artist; Sue Van Wassenhove,
poet lady with stunning little quilts.
Retreat UpdateL: Connie: We have a surplus from this retreat which will
be used in the fall, since the price will be higher. Connie will give out door
prizes tonight - leftover prizes from the retreat. The fall retreat dates are
October 10, 11 & 12.
Bus Trip: The final payment is due June 1. Bus Trip is July 10,
11 & 12.
August Meeting: We could do a dinner in August.
Service Quilts: We have many in various stages. The workshop
really helped.
Block exchange: Marty has an idea for a coordinating block. The
next block exchange was going to be announced at the June meeting, but since
it's a special meeting, Jenny will announce it by email and mail.
Quilt Show: Kelley has 4 possible judges. She'll talk to them and
choose one. There will be a $5 entry fee to enter a quilt? There will be no
admission charge for the show.
Treasurer: Marty will redo the budget reporting (for July) so it
conforms to IRS guidelines for non-profit organizations.
