  • Proposal was made to combine Ways and Means with Membership.  Kathy and Marsha are Co-Committee Chairs.

Treasurer:

  • The issue of advertising in the newsletter and on the website was brought up.  Quilt shops may be interested in paid advertising.  Guild members could advertise for free.  Action item:  guidelines need to be developed.
  • Board members and committee chairs have until January 11, 2010 to turn in their yearly budget figures into Marty.   She will present a 2010 budget report at the January 26 monthly meeting.
  • Membership Dues:

    • Patty will update the Membership Form with a date and cost of $25 per year, $12.50 after 6 months and free for 75 years and older.

10th Anniversary Party:

  • The date for celebration is March 20th, 2010, National Quilting Day.  It will be held at the Jeffrey Mansion.  There are several rooms available for different activities – workshop, machine sewing, hand sewing.  Action item:  What is the legal capacity of the establishment?
  • The workshop with Mary Huey raised several unanswered questions.
  • Action item:  What should this cost?  How much should the guild subsidize?  What is cost of Mansion, lunch, gifts and workshop?  Is this self-supporting or a fund-raiser?
